In case we haven’t met, I’m Kevin, and I’ve taught thousands (hundreds of thousands if you count those that have used my other online courses) of software engineers and system administrators about a wide variety of Linux topics. I’ve supported learning journeys from the very beginning of being a Linux user to internals of the Linux kernel, and more.  

I’ve also worked in Silicon Valley for over 20 years as a consultant, educator ( I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science and have taught for UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, and San Jose State Universities), and as a software engineer for major corporations in roles as software architect, principal software engineer, and as an engineering manager.

After having taught hundreds of in-person classes, and having other organizations control my online classes, I realized that if I were to have complete control over the look & feel and method of presenting an online course I could provide the better way for students to master Linux fundamentals that I believe all software engineers and system administrators should have.
